    I think it has a lot more to do with the caliber of the pitching the O's have had and less to do with the color of the uniform.

    One would think but how many athletes have we seen try and hang on well past the time they should have hanged it up? Heck Bedard pitched in A ball at 36 and I don't even think he liked baseball.

    That is a lot of money to walk away from. I can also see if hard for a prideful person to admit to themselves that they are an anchor to the team.

    If they are doing it, and Mountcastle does go on to have a decent career, this is going to cost him a lot of money.

    If you wait till next year you get a whole year of control. Why burn a year of service time on this season? I haven't convinced myself of this yet, but I'm getting closer.

    NP, it's a pretty subtle effect. I was figuring this way it's readable for everyone but if someone needs to check to see if I'm joking they can. For at least as long as I bother to do it.

    It's there. I'm using a super dark green so you can still read it. It's #003300 on the color spectrum.

    Hays wasn't an asset to the lineup. He wasn't hitting any better than Mullins.

    I think it is safe to say 29 teams would have promoted him by now so him still being down is pretty improbable.
