  1. The Royals went 758-862 but got a ring and a second WS appearance. Does their postseason success outweigh their overall poor performance?
  2. He makes a lot of sense in this case.
  3. Turns out Cespedes' ankle fracture was due to wild boars on his ranch. https://nypost.com/2020/01/03/yoenis-cespedes-ankle-fractures-came-during-incident-with-wild-boar/?utm_source=twitter_sitebuttons&utm_medium=site buttons&utm_campaign=site buttons
  4. That might be a record, the same joke three times on just one page.
  5. I don't think we can force the other team to let him bat.
  6. I'm just hoping they spend all the slots. I have confidence they can find enough lottery tickets at the very least.
  7. I bet we are in the top 5 of amounts that teams have left.
  8. If I'm advising him I tell him to wait until July when team's allotments reset.
  9. Someone has to man the positions for all the games.
  10. Potential changes in the CBA might be why they are locking up young players.
  11. You left off the bit about not making a lot of money.
  12. Long term contracts for proven players in their 30's is riskier. The Orioles are still paying off Chris Davis' 7/161M contract.
  13. Your has to line confused me.
  14. Before looking I'm guessing they pick the Padres for at least one.
  15. So the O's would be on the hook for a 6/36 deal if they call Donovan Tate up?
  16. They also have a four year deal on the table for Donaldson. Word is he is hoping the Braves up their offer from three to four. I can see why someone who peaked later would want the extra year. No way would I give a 34 year old a four year deal.
  17. I agree but 24 is still a bit too much risk for the reward in my book.
  18. I count two. It is a six year deal with two options.
  19. I think it is more about the 8 years of control than it is saving money.
  20. Right, I forgot about the public relations worth. I'd go $20,000,050.
  21. But they have a locked in price of 550K or so for the first three years. So it's 15M a year for the last three which is way more than he is likely to make in arbitration.
