Honest question for you and the others that do this. What is the point of stuff like "Blow Jays" and "Red Sux" and "Skanees"? Do you think it's witty? Do you think the fans or players somehow see it and are bothered? I really want to know because I've never had the slightest urge to do such a thing. Thanks in advance.

You can want to bring him up and still understand that he might struggle a bit during an adjustment period or even fail at this level entirely.

Trout isn't getting traded. He's hurt, the contract is huge and he has no trade protection.

Sure. They didn't win with Bundy and Bradish has become a useful major league pitcher. Just like folks didn't care for the Miller deal. I don't think they overpaid for Bundy, they wanted someone that could help them that year and Bradish wasn't that guy.

It's fine, not sure when I'd listen to it. Strings are nice, drums are a bit overly punchy.

I was arguing against the idea that he had no value after he was traded and that was the quickest way to do it. Pure and simple, this is the game thread, I didn't want to get into a nuanced discussion about Bundy.

Not his fault. He had one good and one very bad year for them. For a team in win now mode the deal was acceptable.

WTH? Bundy finished 9th in CY voting his first year with the Angels. How is that no future? How is Bradish a TOR starter? Who am I accusing them of misjudging? Yaz? I didn't think Yaz was anything, no one did, the Giants didn't. I just think it's funny. Heim? I didn't think Heim was going to be anything more than a plus glove in the minors. Doesn't mean I wanted to trade him for Pearce, who I think they knew was damaged goods. The Bundy deal was a perfectly reasonable deal for a team in a win now situation to do.

Shrug, it was a pretty reasonable deal for them at the time.

It's not my favorite, but I dabble in a lot of stuff.

Nope. With Gunnar they are more likely to complain that he doesn't swing at the first pitch often enough. It's a very fine line.

Too low a leverage situation for O'Hearn to do any damage.

And I am 100% on board with limiting high stress innings. But that isn't what's happening here.
