  1. I just don't get why folks can't leave it at "he's an exciting young player to watch with a great arm and he looks like a real hit from the International side."
  2. He's also younger and left handed and has four pitches. I don't get why folks feel this need to downgrade everyone else to try and make the Orioles look better.
  3. https://www.mlb.com/stats/team/ops?split=vl Sixth best OPS versus LHP.
  4. He gets that a lot, being Brian Roberts and all.
  5. Which is why I don't want his pitch count up. This guy is good hitting tonight.
  6. I'd rather the guy who gave up three runs stayed in the game.
  7. Darn Mountcastle swinging at balls out of the strikez....oh, he got a hit and two RBI. Go Mountcastle!
  8. Or not. It isn't a lock that someone can just be a ML firstbaseman. This isn't learning how to play bass in a punk band.
  9. Caminiti touched 98 as a left handed 17 year old.
  10. Well yea, the other one was a grade 2.
  11. Mountcastle finished in the top 10 of ROY voting....twice.
  12. I think the team decides on the gameplan and the pitcher and catcher work together to execute it. I think the days of the catcher calling a game by feel is long gone. I also think stolen bases are pretty overrated and don't actually have that big an impact on scoring.
  13. I think he's pretty close to the opposite. Guy is an edgelord.
  14. It's like Ichiro without the defense and base running.
  15. You'll get a walk and you'll like it!
  16. He got out of Chicago.
  17. There was some, I won't deny that. Just don't think it was anything close to half.
  18. Doesn't he live in Sarasota?
  19. Willing to and wanted to are not the same thing. Some of us understand that you have to give up quality to get quality. You aren't getting multiple years of a quality price controlled pitcher without giving up quality in return.
  20. But Roy told him to take pitches.
  21. That last pitch clipped the zone. It was certainly too close to take. The second pitch was the one to offer at.
