  1. Honestly I'd say trading Mancini and Lopez when the team was still technically in the WC race was a bolder move. To stand fast and sell in that situation, that takes some chutzpah.
  2. Miracle whip is bolder than Duke's, doesn't mean it's bold.
  3. No. Signing Kimbrel was the safest CYA move a GM of a contending team that needed a closer could make. Let's sign the past his prime former elite closer that has been bouncing around from team to team. That ain't bold.
  4. But you don't just get Skubal for the remainder of this season.
  5. The Kimbrel move was the antithesis of bold.
  6. I'm not saying it's impossible, although I do doubt the coaching is going to make a big difference. I don't think it is a good sign that they are trying him in right and first and he doesn't seem to be thriving anywhere. Why would you move Westburg off of third for Mayo?
  7. Roy said something similar last week. While I agree that errors aren't a great tool for evaluating check out the number of chances.
  8. Exactly. The arm strength is irrelevant if the supporting tools aren't there.
  9. Has he given any indications that he's capable of playing third or right at the ML level? Or is he Torkelson with a better arm? Because Torkelson with a better arm is Torkelson. (Obviously I'm not comparing bats right now)
  10. How useful is a 70 arm on a DH?
  11. Other than wishful thinking here on the Hangout I've not heard the slightest whisper about him getting traded.
  12. I have a hard time wrapping my head around that high a prospect ranking for a pure bat RH hitter. Just like I had trouble with Torkelson going 1-1. The bat just has to be so good to make up for everything else.
  13. The guy that put up the 715 OPS in April and the 708 OPS in May?
  14. I don't think McCann is back regardless.
  15. If he had held the Rangers to -1 run the O's would be in the lead.
  16. You're already high aren't you? Some sacrifice.
  17. Right. Whomever you are making 40 room for was deemed by their own team to not be worth putting on the 40 man. To me the real action that could lead to complaint is if your team leaves unprotected the guy that blows up.
  18. O'Hearn not being a team player, taking the save chance away from Kimbrel like that.
  19. Everything Trout has said this whole time points to him wanting to stay with the Angels.
  20. I know Arrieta had one and he was trashing the team over the Spring Training conditions. You can bet Pete cared about that.
  21. I didn't say that. I just think that if he was a FA, he'd have a good chance at getting a shot at playing everyday.
  22. I think a team like the White Sox might very well pick him up and throw him into the lineup. Maybe the Marlins?
