Sure would be nice, at this point in the supposed rebuild, to have one guy on the ML roster that we could look at and say, That is an above average ML ballplayer, and not be lying to ourselves.
I agree, which is why I don't think .500 is likely in 2022.
At this point I'm just hoping the official line isn't "We are still accumulating talent and winning isn't a priority this season."
It is bad. I also can't tell if Elias actually wants to delay this long or if he is under payroll constraints that go well beyond slash payroll while rebuilding.
It's super early but it seems to me the team isn't playing with the same intensity they did last year. It's probably observer error but I'll throw it out there.
