  1. As excited as I am to see Kremer pitch I can’t believe how unbelievably awful the lineup is today. I hope we at least see some good pitching
  2. Yeah, I agree with you. I’m not feeling great about Stewart obviously. He doesn’t seem to do anything particularly well. But he does deserve a good look so I guess I will retract my comment in that sense. I like to see at least average defense out of every player and Stewart doesn’t seem to hit or defend well. At least Williams could play the field a bit.
  3. I think I’d prefer Williams over Stewart at this point.
  4. Just read through the post on MLBTR regarding the Padres needs. I think they’d be interested in Givens and if we’re lucky we’d be able to get one of their top 10 prospects. They’ve got a couple LHP rated 9 & 10 on the MLB page...Ryan Weathers and Joey Cantillo. Weathers was a 1st round pick but Cantillo has fared better thus far in his career. I think either one would be a good candidate and I’d be happy with that type of return for Givens.
  5. I can’t foresee getting much of anything for anyone in the rotation so I think if we see any moves it will be something like a give away or DFA rather than a trade where we get anything back worth talking about. Best case scenario really is getting Cobb out but considering the O’s will be paying most of his salary anyway they may as well keep him.
  6. A Cobb trade would be nice. Givens might get something noteworthy. Maybe some of the lesser BP arms like Armstrong, Castro, or Sulser could get a lottery ticket type of prospect. I think it’d be wise to see what teams would offer for Santander or Alberto but I’m okay with keeping them too just to see if what they’re doing is real. I don’t think the O’s will be particularly active though.
  7. I think we all knew it was coming, we were just hoping otherwise. It won’t be terribly hard to get into the playoffs this year so hopefully they can turn it around enough to get a wild card spot to keep things interesting? I totally agree though. I’d much rather watch someone like Mountcastle or Zimmerman suck than Smith Jr or Wojo
  8. DH Sisco 1B Mancini LF Mountcastle CF Hays RF Diaz Trade Santander and Nunez this year (or in the off season) and maybe even Sisco (DH won’t be too hard to fill).
  9. If Mullins can turn into a doubles hitter who can steal a base and play above average defense then sign me up. That was my original hope for him but he’s played too poorly for too long for me to let myself have hope. I’d love to see it though
  10. I doubt we will be trading much. Maybe Givens or another bullpen arm but everyone else is young and controllable enough that it’s probably best to just keep them considering none of them will likely get any prospects back that will be any better than what we’ve got right now. If we trade Severino do we really think there’s a chance that a team is willing to give up a piece that will any better than Severino has been over his career? Same goes for any of the offense really.
  11. I think Ruiz may just be a keeper. Not an all star but he could be a formative piece to the next good Orioles team. I like Nunez and Alberto too but I have my doubts about sustained success. Santander is a head scratcher. How did we get him through the rule 5? He’s supposed to be another Ryan Flaherty level player but yet here he is becoming a mainstay in RF. Who’d have thought? I’m really hoping Sisco has turned a corner. He’s one of the only position players to have actually come up through the O’s system so I feel invested in his success. Same goes for Hays though Hays is proving he can’t be counted on the stay healthy enough to ever become someone you can depend on.
  12. He won’t hit like this forever but I’m enjoying it while he does.
  13. If they can get hot enough during the season to make it into the playoffs that’d be exciting and all but it’ll be a real disappointment next year when we’ve gotta play another 162 game season and we realize this team is still not very good. Not to mention it’s gotta be stressing Elias out to think we could potentially not be picking in the top 10 next draft. Which brings the question...is an abbreviated and largely pointless season where the O’s play well worth it if it means taking a hit to the big picture? I think so, but I’m a fan and I just like to watch them win no matter what. The front office might think differently and we may see more Bleier type trades to try to pull the rug out from the good vibes.
  14. I had high hopes for Sulser. But he couldn’t throw a strike to save his life last night and if that’s something that happens with him every once in a while then he isn’t closer material. You gotta be able to depend on a closer to throw strikes.

    Bundy in L.A.

I’ll always root for him as long as he isn’t playing the O’s.
  16. I think he’s destined for LF with that arm. But if he can get on base and steal some bases and provide good coverage in LF then he could be a useful player.
  17. Davis does not look comfortable running. Good god
  18. I like Wilkerson and hope he can come back and contribute later but it just doesn’t matter a whole lot in the big picture. I did like watching him pitch last year
  19. Well the mlb.tv would be free with T-mobile and the VPN only really makes it worth it if you also want it for other things. But yeah, $150 if it’s all for 2 months of baseball is pricey
  20. I used ExpressVPN but I’m not really that knowledgeable on it to be honest. It worked great though, sometimes the picture would get a little pixelated but I’m not sure if that was my internet or the VPN. I think I paid $100 for a year? But I use it for other stuff as well
  21. Just get a VPN and you don’t even need to worry about them being blacked out
  22. I was signed out and couldn’t sign back in for a bit but all seems well now.
  23. I agree. I don’t think he’ll hit particularly well nor do I believe his defense will be worth keeping his bat in the lineup. I’d love to be wrong though
  24. Maybe a DH role is his future but he looks clumsy as hell in the OF.
  25. I doubt it matters a whole lot outside of this year and maybe next year. I think Mountcastle will end up a regular 1B/DH and Stewart will probably end up being designated by the time his options are all used up.
