Colton has reached base three more times tonight in his first four plate appearances - two walks and a hit by pitch. His ops through his first nine plate appearances at Bowie is 2.389! Promote him to Norfolk already. LOL

Honestly, I thought the same thing after the first two plate appearances I saw him live yesterday. He struck out and hit a weak grounder and I thought to myself he might struggle for a bit until he gets his timing back. But then his next nine plate appearances produced four singles, two doubles, an RBI sacrifice fly, a scorching line drive caught, and a ground out. So now I realize I'm an idiot for having those thoughts.

He's clutch! One run behind, two outs in the ninth, bases loaded. He comes through with a two run, go ahead single to right field!

This is what I would like to see although I know it won't happen. Start Bradish a day early on Tuesday since he only went 1 2/3 innings in his last start. Then start Rodriguez on Wednesday on normal rest in Bradish's normal spot.

GR up for Tuesday on three days rest after throwing 88 pitches last night? Can't see that happening. I'd think Bradish would come back on Tuesday after going less than two innings before GR on Tuesday. Then GR could take his normal turn on Wednesday. But who knows with Elias in charge.

Nice plan. But do you really think he will pitch on 6/1 when that's Bradish's turn? The day we're going to need an extra starter is 5/31. So I'm hoping they pull him early tonight so he can start on Tuesday.

It wouldn't really be normal rest because Watkins pitched yesterday which makes his normal turn on Monday. But I think we can all agree that whenever Grayson does debut, it will be Watkins who he replaces so now makes the perfect time to make that happen. But again, knowing Elias, that won't happen.

Yeah, I don't think it happens either but Grayson did pitch on four days rest today which lines him up for Tuesday. And we'll need a starter that day since today was a bullpen game. Great way for Elias to make a 1-2 splash since Ben McDonald hinted we would see Adley on Monday.

What are the odds Elias shocks us and calls Adley up on Monday and Grayson up on Tuesday?

Ben McDonald seemed pretty confident in last night's pre game interview with Bradish that we would see him Monday night.

I've not seen that specifically addressed but I would assume that after the first six picks it would be like the NBA and picks 7-18 would go by reverse order. In which case the team with the worst record would pick seventh at the worst if they didn't win any of the top six picks.

That is correct. But they would have to be lucky indeed. The first team to miss out on the playoffs only has a 0.23% chance of obtaining the first pick.
