  1. He’s been in Bowie for a month. Let’s give him at least two
  2. Checking in on the minors: Cowser, Henderson, Kjerstad, and Ortiz have all homered
  3. And he just hit another homerun. I think he's heard that Norfolk is nice in August or something
  4. The most excited he got in the press conference was about getting down to Florida and getting back to playing baseball. I like that. He definitely looks young (but no he doesn’t look like a woman, he just has long hair). To me that suggests he has even more upside
  5. I'm pretty frustrated Vavra isn't playing. I could be wrong, but I don't see Elias as a guy who brings up someone they view as a legitimate prospect, to not play. So either a) this is Hyde's call, which is a strike against Hyde or b) they don't view Vavra as a legit prospect option b seems odd to me given his stats at Triple-A and how they've handled him so far, so I am leaning option A. On the one hand, I don't really want Elias micromanaging Hyde's lineup...on the other I do wonder about how that plays out longer term
  6. And there top prospect had a freak shoulder injury last year too. Crazy
  7. I would guess with Holiday officially signed, the Showalter signing gets announced soon. (Since you lose the bonus slot if you don't sign the player, they needed Holiday to officially sign, to have the leftover money to officially sign Showalter) I think Young and Walters were two true flyers. If either or both sign, great...but if neither sign, that happens too
  8. Because he's been in Triple-A for only two months, and he hasn't mastered the level yet. We follow every day and every start, and that's cool.....but this idea that every time a prospect gets hot they're ready for the next level, or two months at a level is a long time is ridiculous, and not how any system operates. Prospects staying at one level for an entire year is normal (and this is also true of the clamor for bringing up Henderson and Westburg)
  9. I have decided to stop paying attention to hitter stats in Aberdeen
  10. This is the first full season Hall has pitched since 2019, and he pitched that season at high-a with a 3.46 ERA in 80 innings. Being a starting pitcher over a full year involves starts where you don’t feel great, or different pitches aren’t work etc. He’s still learning….let him
  11. In bwar he's tied with Cedric, in fwar he's very slightly behind Cedric and Adley. Either way he's been very good
  12. Alright alright alright! Ball game
  13. That was a weird way to make that call
  14. Odor turns a really nice double play
  15. he looks 12, he's going to be really good when he hits puberty lol
  16. He turns into an all-star when he sees Orange apparently
