  1. I just had to look at that myself, and it's pretty disappointing to put it lightly. Add in Baumler having TJ surgery already and that's two straight drafts with no real bright spots from drafted pitchers.
  2. I'm gonna give it a D. I don't mind the first 2 picks, and like Donta Williams as well, but overall the whole strategy this year was kind of a head scratcher. Outside of Creed Williams, not one HS guy, and no real high upside guys, everyone seemed to be "safe" picks. Hopefully they have some high end guys lined up in the international period because I just don't see a whole lot of potential with this draft class.
  3. Josh Hartle and Cody Schrier are the only names I can find, and they pulled out before the draft I believe.
  4. You can't even give a guy a day off without some people getting upset. I think Mullins has more than earned a day off.
  5. Not sure I'd like him in the OF either, not sure how he'd handle 3B if that was another move they'd consider making, the arm would definitely fit. Those 3 could potentially be a pretty strong middle of the lineup though. Davis & Rutschman rotating at C, and also with Mountcastle at 1B/DH would be the perfect way to get them all 600 ABs.
  6. I like the potential that Davis bat brings, and the possibility he could move fairly quickly through the system. What's the chance he sticks at catcher long term though? I've seen he has improved this year, but have also read he could be a better fit as a corner OF or possibly even 3B.
  7. Thanks everyone for the responses I really appreciate it, glad I chose these over some other similar priced seats.
  8. I have tickets for tomorrow nights game in the Club Box Infield section 226 row 1, but have never sat in this section, what's everyone's opinion on this section? How different is it from the regular seats?
  9. I agree, if they are blown away with an offer for Mountcastle, move him. I guess I should have worded it differently, I wouldn't shop Mountcastle and maybe Mullins, but would move them for the right deal.
  10. I think outside of Mountcastle and maybe Mullins every one on the ML roster should be available if the deal is good enough. Can't afford another Machado situation where the return is severely lessened by waiting too long to make a deal.
  11. I voted September. I'd like to see him work as much as possible with Hall and Rodriguez at Bowie before getting called up.
  12. If the best deal you get comes from a division rival, you make the deal. It would suck seeing Mullins in a Yankee uniform, but we need to get the best return possible for anyone that gets traded.
  13. The problem is our good players really weren't that good. Outside of Machado we had no superstars to trade. Most of the best players we had to trade were relievers, and your not getting a huge return for them.
  14. That's where I am with him as well. He just came back, and needs to show he's healthy more than anything IMO. If a team is willing to overpay though and the return is good, then move him.
  15. It definitely may be time to get someone to overpay. Would like to see Santander warm up more and stay healthy though, not sure how much return we'd get for him right now.
  16. I agree he hasn't been good long enough, but if he keeps it up until this years deadline I think we should be able to get someone to "overpay", and it will be hard to turn down a great offer. Pitchers are tough to hold on to IMO. I may be wrong and don't have data to back it up, but I think the risk of injury is higher than position players.
  17. If you get an offer of a top 10-15 prospect and a top 75 plus more I think you have to make the trade. Means value is probably as high as it will ever be right now.
  18. Hopefully this is just the beginning, and we get signings like this or better every year. Elias and company need to keep the pipeline flowing with as much talent as possible. What's the possibility of Basallo or Hernandez cracking the Top 30 prospects?
  19. That line of 4.50 ERA is probably the same for starting pitchers as well. Teams aren't gonna give up a top prospect for a league average SP these days.
  20. I definitely don't disagree that to the Angels of all teams he should have been worth more. If Bundys numbers come back to career normals before the season is out I wonder how many will still feel the same about what we received.
  21. I think some are valuing Bundy based off of this season, and not the Bundy of the past few years. He never lived up to his potential here, and I honestly don't think Elias or many other GMs could have gotten more for him.
  22. I hope not. I'd much rather see the guys we have now out there getting the ABs.
  23. It's easy to look back now and say the Bundy trade was bad and we should have gotten more. IMO if we couldn't get more from a team as pitching needy as the Angels are, that says a lot about Bundys value at the time.
  24. Why would you send him on that, way too shallow
  25. ?? it definitely does, but it's really easy to use so it's not a PIA
