Those 5 years of solid ball under Buck, had nothing to do with Buck and his skillset. Why do you blame Buck, for Toronto kicking the tires on DD, and Peter going back into micro-management owner style? Buck is far from perfect, but, I believe a pretty solid manager. As for Davis, if you go back and reread all the articles from that time frame, it sure looked like that was all on Peter. Usually contracts are under the direction of the GM, and with ownership approval.

and you dont like Buck. Yet Buck is getting good play of out his players. Mancini would be a great addition to that roster, and hell no, I wont want to lose him. But, a stand up character guy like Mancini, no clubhouse cancer, with baseball skills, and the two already have a history together. It makes a ton of sense.

Selling the team if it comes down to that and it might. Doesnt mean we get somebody better than these clowns. Sadly, there are people that know how to make money in the corporate world, that are clueless about sport franchises.

Yes, for years, we were always told, they had money to spend, even when the budget was pretty large. We get lip service from the front office, but no action. In your own heart, do you believe the money is there and Elias isnt being directive to keep the payroll low? I do not expect to see the Orioles at the top of the pay scale, 260 mill by both the Dodgers and Mets is mind blowing. As only a fan since 1980, I dont recall ever seeing an Oriole team, dead last in payroll.

I wonder if the fandom is placing too much blame on Elias. Does he have a better budget to work with, for payroll?

People are not going, due to the inability of the organization to field a major league ready team. I know some families are struggling, as their disposable income is reduced by the high cost of gas, and everything else.
