Thought it would be fun to put some perspective on just how long the dreaded streak was. So let's fill in the blank...The last time the Orioles had a winning season, I was 14 years old and an 8th grader in middle school. Today, I'm married, have a son, and am a career firefighter.

Ten, starting fifth grade, a Little League ball player.

Twenty five, College degree, looking for a job writing or with the government. Hard to believe it was fifteen years ago. I'm glad it's finally over.

I turn 30 near the end of October. I am now married and have a daughter. I drive fire trucks and run the 911 center.

Was a sophomore at Towson State and thought continued trips to the playoffs were a foregone conclusion. Now married (at OPACY) with a four year old (who woke up last Thursday and immediately asked me if the Oreos won, yes!) and still struggling with how to handle a contending baseball team.

A sophomore in high school and couldn't wait until 1998 to see the O's return to the playoffs. Little did I know that Tony Fernandez would start a long dismal run.
