10/3/2012: GAME 162 - Orioles at Rays

About six months ago, I made a game thread for Opening Day. The Orioles won, and at the end of the day found themselves tied for first place in the American League East. After another 160 games in the course of one of the most exciting and improbable seasons in baseball history, the Orioles find themselves one game behind the hated Yankees in the AL East. If the Orioles can once again vanquish the Rays, and the more-like-Pawtucket-than-Boston Red Sox can finally do something right and make the third time the charm against the Yankees, the Orioles will find themselves in the same position after the 162nd game as they did after the first. Is there time for one more history-making night before the dawn of the postseason? Will the Orioles get a chance for the division title and put the cherry on top of a comeback for the ages? We can only hope.
