Lackey pulled from Sox game

Since'54

Recommended Posts

Red Sox pitcher John Lackey was just removed from the game with Toronto in the 5th inning with a sudden arm injury -- so far unspecified. Sox announcers very worried.

Threw a pitch and clutched at his arm and left the mound.

Very strange injury, and looked serious. Lackey's right shoulder was slumped over- even when he walked off the field right arm hung low and would barely move. Looked like a shoulder injury but Lackey did grab his bicep. We shall see.

The Jays announcers were raving about him and how he was looking as good as he did his rookie year. I kid you not. Anyone know the next in line to take his spot?

That would be Alfredo Aceves -- ranking Sox headcase now that Manny has stopped being Manny!
