The Orioles got an ultra-rare series win for the 2018 season.

The Orioles won 3 out of 4 from the southwestern Floridians.

The offense scored 37 Runs in the final 3 games of the series, after dropping the series opener by a score of 4-3 ........ and those 37 Runs were scored in 24 innings, as the Orioles were the home team and did not need their last licks in the bottom of the 9th innings in those 3 games.

This is the second winning streak of at least 3 games all season.  The other was 4 in a row May 9-12.  Two of those victories were also against TB.

The Orioles won 2 out of 3 games from the White Sox, in Baltimore.

The Orioles are now 3-4-1 in 8 series so far in this still very young 2019 season.

On the subject of winning/losing series, I just came cross something that would be appear to be an anomaly in terms of series sweeps, and overall records.

The Brewers announcers stated that the Nationals getting swept at the hands of the Milwaukeeans this afternoon was the first time that the Nationals were swept in a series OF ANY KIND since ........ July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of 2018 !!! ) 

 

I looked it up, and sure enough, it was true.

The sweep-avoiders won a series for the first time in a month.

They took a series from the Giants in mid-April. Now, they just took 2 out of 3 games from the Mets in mid-May.
