Muting my TV this half inning didn't give us any better luck. The double taken away, Joseph striking out on ball four, Nick getting called out on strikes. For some reason, the baseball gods have turned against us. Why? We haven't been to a World Series since 1983. Royals drought is since 1985. They should be on our side.

This is identical to yesterday's game. Not hitting a hittable pitcher and when we do hit, it is just within reach of their D. So frustrating.

Why would somebody say that? Thats beyond awful.

Awful? It's not life threatening and would just take Gordon out for the rest of the playoffs, which would feel nice after he's made did-he-really catch after catch.

So no, I wouldn't say it was awful. I think many of us were hoping he at least got injured on that play.
