Speed kills nothing. With the best bullpen for a bit last year they only made the playoffs because three teams spit the bit. As a second wildcard they road a hot streak for two weeks. No teams win with speed anymore.

They were an 89 win team. Even in the wildcard era you are lucky to make the playoffs in the AL with 89 wins. In 2012 it took 93 wins in 2013 it took 92.

They won less than 90 games, so in that respect they were a little lucky. The second wild card allows for that to happen now. Although they were the first wild card (89 wins to Oakland's 88).
