Okay a trade, 2 signings, and 2 settlements with arb eligible guys since the Jays quest for Duquette ended.

Does anyone really believe it wasn't a distraction?

Was he allowed to do anything while the Blue Jays were still attempting to poach?

Whether he wasn't permitted to do anything, or whether he didn't because he was distracted... it certainly could have affected our offseason. Were any trade opportunities missed? We will never know.

Since the winter meetings? You can almost certainly say there was....I wonder if he would have made any of the three moves if he was hired by the Jays for them?

Absolutely. I hate what the Blue Jays tried to do.

Thinking out loud, but might Angelos have said no major business until this has resolved? That would seem to make sense more so than Dan not doing anything because of the story.

Dan could also be running up against budget restrictions from ownership. As long as we're speculating, that could be a reason why some deals weren't done.

From the audio, it sounds like he wanted the job and is disappointed that it did not happen. I suspect he will leave the O's after the 2015 season.

That sounded like a man that wants out. Anyone know what else they talked about?

Eh maybe... Of course he wanted the job to become a CEO of SOMETHING. Wouldnt we want that to in our careers? But if WE are passed up on that, do we stick our heads in the sand and pout? If so, then you most likely will get fired and definitely not get that promotion next time it comes around. You go back to work and do your job and do it to the best of your abilities. Disappointment might be valid.
