Yes. Do what they can within reason to get in the playoffs. Any reasonable person in the same situation as GM would be doing the same. It's about winning.

Blockbuster trade, we get a 3 month rental, and move one of our own FAs as a 3 month rental.

It's not that you can't. It's just very unlikely to happen. Most of the time, that involves weakening one position and strengthening another.

I'm for weakening the training staff and strengthening the outfield.
