I think Gordon is the better option over Upton because of defense.

This may be true, but, man, I have always coveted the upside potential of Upton. Perhaps more risk, but the dreams of what could happen if things were to ever click for him...

The writing is on the wall for Davis to come back to us. Heyward got 185 everybody said he was getting over 200 Davis be crazy to turn down O's deal and the other major suitor is Cards but if they get Gordon where does that leave Davis? I could see it happening soon.

Interesting. He has an established level of 5.3 fWAR, but they're paying him like he's a 4-win player, or thereabouts. Depending on your win value. At $8M/win that's acting like he's a 4.5 win player declining half a win a year starting at 27.
