If We Already Had Smoak ....

Who would you advocate drafting if we already had a Justin Smoak in the system? Say, if Joe Mahoney had turned into a hitting beast at DelMarva?

I'd probably adjust my rankings a big, drop Smoak from 3rd (behind Alvarez and Beckham) to 5th or 6th behind Matusz and maybe G. Beckham and possibly Alonso.

I don't think a beast a Delmarva would be incentive enough to change my pick from Smoak though. If we had someone playing very well at Bowie that would change my mind a bit.

I think Smoak is the #2 player in the draft...However, if we already had a guy like him, i may say take Alvarez instead(who won't be there anyway).

Smoak...If I knew Alvarez could stay at third and be average or better defensively, it would be Alvarez...But since that is up in the air and Smoak is a plus defender and has just as big a bat, i go with the safer, more sure thing in Smoak.
