That's a really cool video.

I was 6, turning 7 in that September.   I have faint memories of it.  I remember the talk about it.

I know those clips put together make them look awful, but I have to believe they really looked that bad every day.

Fascinating video. 

The 80s were the lost decade for me regarding the O’s. The ‘80 season was the last one I really followed them closely since the begining of my fandom in ‘69 at age 7. So thankfully, I missed the agony of the ‘88 season’s start. I wasn’t hanging on every game even in ‘83. My long held hope of a baseball career ended in disappointment and I was somewhat bitter for many years and it also coincided with me going full tilt as a musician. I really didn’t get back fully onboard until Cal’s streak year. Having the internet come into the mainstream then really helped me track the team a lot easier, as it did many out of towners.

Thank you for posting. My father took me to my first game at Memorial Stadium in 1988 at the age of 9. I was glued to HTS that season and beyond, and became a fan for life. 0-21 will live forever in my memories.
