The Silver Lining Report: Game 28/162 (O's lose 9-2)

Another short one because there just wasn't much going on. BUT, there's always a silver lining.

  • Trey Mancini: Silver lining is that he only suffered a bruise and won't be out for long. And, of course, he still got a hit in the process thanks to the Twins outfielders forgetting how to play defense for the large part of this game.

  • Dan Straily: No earned runs! He only went 4 innings, but it was mostly due to his pitches getting fouled off a bunch. His ERA drops to 6.75 and he seems mostly on track now, despite the short outing.

  • Hanser Alberto: Coming off the bench for Trey, he collected 2 hits with an RBI and is batting .299 in the early going. Hanser's the answer.

  • Rio Ruiz: 2-4, RBI single. Fine play at 3B. Steady Rio.

  • Mini ?s: Rickard another diving catch, Nunez a double, a hit for Wilkerson.

  • Roster moves coming: I consider this a silver lining because every roster move is a chance to learn a little more about the rebuild. Some of the bullpen guys simply aren't performing, so let's see what someone else has for awhile.
