Uh oh...these sound like some very, very busy uniforms.

Maryland flag patch on the left sleeve of both home and away with the text "Baltimore Orioles" (Home) or "Orioles Baseball" (Away)...Orioles script logo on the right sleeve of the away jersey...

I hope they look good...and I'm probably going to be disappointed by the absence of neck striping or placket piping.

It sounds like they are making a return to the old unis somewhat with the return of the stripes on the arms and pants.

The stripes on the pants and sleeves were last seen in 1994.

Roch chiming in now as well. Prolly waited for his buddies at the Sun to have first crack at it...

By the way, mad props to the Orioleshangout.com member who was clever enough to find the redesigned cap on New Era's Web site. (Perhaps the mascot should have been a cat coming out of a bag).

Congrats eddie83 for the discovery and TonySoprano for the saved pic! :clap3:

Going a bit nuts with all these patches and words, eh?

Baltimore Orioles, Orioles Baseball? I could do without all that? Why put all that on there? Just go with Baltimore on the front and leave it at that.

Going old school with the orange brim on the helmet....

Busy, busy, busy....I'm still interested in seeing what the finished product looks like.

I'll also take an announcement of a long-term deal for Markakis as well.

You got it.

I couldn't remember if the black and orange stripes around the sleeves were on the jerseys from the 80's or the ones you pictured here.

Roch mentions a surprise that has the front office jazzed, and Anita Marks on her show today mentioned something special for Sundays with the uniforms..... I'm going to guess that they are going to wear the old 70s/80s style throwbacks every Sunday, complete with cartoon bird hat, similar to what the Brewers and Blue Jays currently do (I think Kansas City does it to some effect as well)

Why is it so hard to get rid of the paralyzed looking bird. Hows that bird intimidating.

Because you don't need an intimidating bird to intimidate your opponent.

I like the current bird and I really like the new bird, it's a nod to the 1990's bird and also the very first Oriole bird logo:

I really don't understand how people can be angry about the changes. Baltimore is FINALLY back on the road jerseys. We've been complaining about it for years. I honestly didn't think PA would ever do it. And I never thought that when it finally did happen, people here would still ***** and moan.

Also, how many World Series winners have had "intimidating" logos? The Cardinals have a bird that's just as tame. The Red Sox have SOCKS. Come on.

This would be awesome. Sundays are when we're at our least intimidating, so it makes sense to have the happy bird. :)

The black jacket that you'll see manager Dave Trembley wearing in the dugout on those cold nights includes the "swinging bird" on the left sleeve. That'll take you back to better times, though it last appeared in 1988, a season that doesn't exactly warm your heart.

And this guy is also back:
