Watkins had a nice start to his very brief career, but he's looked very hittable even when the results were good. Maybe he'll develop into a crafty pitcher who can fool hitters, but I can't say I'm surprised that the Marlins are getting to him early tonight.

It is actually fitting that they are Derek Jeter's Marlins.  We are 9-27 all-time against the Marlins, which is laughably bad.  And we all know what Jeter's Yankee teams did to us from 1996 - 2014. The combination of Jeter + Marlins = bad news for us.

Lost in that 1st inning was a good defensive play by Stewart in RF on the ball off the wall. It didn’t matter because of the HR, but still a good play.

Yeah, AAA Jacksonville used to be the AA Suns and they were a Dodger affiliate. In fact, Klayton Kershaw pitched for them. I used to go to the games when I lived down there.

I watch about every game, and never really notice. Are the black uniforms their regular home uni’s? I love them.

Stewart with a couple hard hit balls tonight. Perhaps he’s coming out of his slump. He doesn’t hit anything hard when he’s slumping.

I cannot understand why Anderson is here. He’s not good but more then that he’s not allowing us to make sure someone with perhaps more potential, who is languishing on the farm, is also not good.
