Maybe it's just me being OOTP-brained, but I'd pick up the option, keeping Kimbrel as closer and using Felix as a stopper. -

We’re not gonna trade Holliday, Mayo, and Basallo. Beavers and Norby are our best trade chips. I don’t know what we’ll do in the draft. But EBJ could be our top ranked position prospect this time next year. -

Kimbrel really turned it around. He’s an all star as of now. 2nd in the AL with 19 saves. 0.99 WHIP. Probably better than Holmes heads up statistically. Maybe we pick up that option for next year and take some pressure off Bautista and avoid pitching him back to backs. -

Don’t discount stuff like that. These guys are all competitive and a small edge is a thing. An added chip on his shoulder. Sort of how both us and the Yankees had let down games from our tense 3 game series. By the same token, I will not discount all the hard work Heston put in and especially put in after his demotion. This isn’t the NFL. Sometimes you can go back to a player after “benching” them/sending them down. -

There’s just no more words anymore. Someone in the FB group had AI comp his last 30 games to Gunnar’s last 30 games. Crazy stuff. We’re lucky.
