I would think 3 years.

I'd say no more than four, and even that's too long for a mid to late 30's shortstop that doesn't play great defense. But even with that, there's zero chance he retires anywhere else but New York. It's almost blasphemous to credit the Yankees, but Jeter playing anywhere but New York would be bad for baseball.

Knowing our, and the rest of baseball's luck, he'd end up playing for those ten years and still hitting. Heck, if he went another ten years he'd probably stand a great chance to break the all-time hits record.
