Going Saturday and was not thrilled to see Irvin pitching and that they are starting a lefty. Hopefully it'll be Dealing Irvin from his last start, and our guys will figure their guy out. -

I for one was expecting him to OPS 1.400 for the entire year and break Ruth's record for single-season WAR. -
For sure, I don't think any rational person thought he was a 1.200 OPS guy. His sample size is still small but I'd be happy with a .750-.780 OPS for the season.

Yeah there's no real way to view Povich as anything but an improvement on last season so far. He used to ping pong back and forth between good start and bad start, and he's just not doing that right now, which is great. The overall body of work right now is very good. I think he's definitely the next man up if we need a starter, as long as he lines up.
