  1. That's what he was doing when he was feeling good earlier in the season. The change doesn't have as much arm side run as it used to have, but he's getting really good differential with his fastball and he's placing it well.
  2. I'm in one of the resorts so we never lost power. I know a lot of folks were not as lucky. We did lose two days where we were basically stuck in our rooms which sucked.
  3. You know what I like about that Hall outing? He was "only" 96 mostly except for that one 98. That shows me he was able to not overthrow in a big situation. Really, really good outing by the young man.
  4. Plus the Orioles just guaranteed themselves a non losing season! Fantastic!
  5. Wow, that was awesome. I'm sitting here in Orlando watching the last two innings and DL Hall ends up getting his first save!
  6. I understand what Elias wanted to do, I just think he did it wrong. Rutschman could have played 1B to back up Mountcastle. He played it in the minors in 2021 and was pretty good. Stowers should have gotten those ABs against the lefties. He should have been challenged against major league lefties. Why do you bring a prospect up who hits both righties and lefties (actually hit lefties better) then platoon him for a guy who has no part on the future and was not good all year? Just doesn't make sense.
  7. Yeah, obviously I'm joking. His resurrection is pretty amazing. He could probably be very successful pitching in the new Camden Yards.
  8. So Aguilar has been on the team all month and he's put up a .205/.222/.273/.495 with 1 home run, 1 BB and 12 K in 46 PAs. I think this Aguilar move is something we need to pay attention to when it comes to Elias/Sig's ability to judge major league talent to help a team down the stretch. Everything up until they signed Jesus Aguilar has always been about the future, but starting Aguilar over Stowers against lefties when Stowers has hit lefties his entire minor league career was head scratching because of two things. One, why not give Stowers experience against lefties and two, Aguilar has been bad all year against lefties. I get it, Nevin is not very good so they wanted another backup firstbaseman and DH against left-handers. I get it that they were not going to add Westburg to the 40-man because he doesn't need to go on this offseason so no use burning a spot. But what I don't get is why they added a player who clearly is done as an effective major league baseball player when they have a young guy who needs experience and had success against lefties his entire minor league career. So while I'm not going to go overboard here, it does give me some concern that Elias/Sig/Hyde prefer old veterans down the stretch rather than giving young players experience. The lineups seem like they are extremely biased to platoon numbers of the pitchers, regardless of the hitters. The lineups have been a bit disappointing, but the entire acquisition of Aguilar was unnecessary and strange when it comes to how the Orioles have been run under Elias.
  9. And then to throw salt on the wounds, when he pitched for us he sucked. Rich Hill hates Baltimore. lol
  10. No use going over the steroid stuff. Some people don't care, and some do. Neither is going to change the other's mind. Personally, I think 61 is the real record. If Judge hits 62, I'll personally consider him the real home run record holder. Saying that, I'm fine if people think Bonds is. I believe people have the right to feel how they want about a situation. It's ok to disagree.
  11. Pretty sure he means he'd like to see a legitimate player take the roid records.
  12. Thanks Frobby for beating me to the punch, but yes, Chuck did Youmans work this year. He did it every single day througout the season. Amazing work. Thanks Chuck!
  13. I have zero issues with Judge hitting his home run against the Orioles as long as it's in a loss. Walking him a bunch in an attempt to deny him is unsportsmanlike and petty and I can guarantee Hyde would have nothing to with that kind of stuff.
  14. Rich Hill is starting so I can understand Rutschman and Henderson sitting I guess, though I'll take Henderson against a lefty anyday over Nevin. Starting Aguilar instead of Stowers is ridiculous. Mountcastle is DHing so it's not like he could not be playing 1B. They honestly don't think Stowers can hit lefties despite an entire minor league career telling them he can. I will say Hyde/Elias/Sig's insistence on playing sub par veterans at the end of this year if mind boggling and does make me concern that they will not properly manage their roster and lineups correctly when the team is legitimately contending.
  15. He was drafted in 2021, there was no way he was going on the 40-man roster this offseason.
  16. I think you know how I feel about the wave! x10 in a close game that means something..
  17. Takes a bit to get guys warmed up though. He probably did not want to use Perez there and Perez may have not been totally warmed up. The only things surprising is why Akin was not the handcuff for Baumann tonight.
  18. I didn't see the inning, but yeah, when you bring in a reliever in the 5th inning, you're expecting him to get through the inning or two, not implode. Sounds like this is more on Krehbiel.
  19. Looks like Krehbiel pooped his proverbial pants tonight.
  20. What in the bullpen meltdown is going on here? I'm down in Florida so I check Baseball Savant, O's up 5-2. Now 6-5 and still just one out? Looks like I picked a bad time to stop sniffing glue.
  21. Statcast will tell you how fast a player is already. That's not going to significantly change.
  22. Pleaee tell me you are still not getting grades for players off mlb pipeline when baseball savant exists?
