I think this is a pretty good summation. They have some names and star power but they're thin everywhere else. I'd consider this season a success if we somehow found a way to finish ahead of them in the standings.

I agree with everything Froberto Clemente wrote in the OP. They are immensely more watchable. The pitching is surprising. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop, but for the time being I'll take it.

Until then, we'll just have to settle for Matt Harvey types.

I'd expect Boston to pick it up a bit, but who knows. Certainly not mad at it though, I hate Boston more than the Yankees.

Nothing really matters until Adley, G-Rod and others arrive. Gutierrez, good defense but replaceable. He might get picked up but it's doubtful. Owings somehow making the cut doesn't make sense but whatever. Fretting over the deck chairs of the last two roster spots on a last place team is relatively meaningless.
