  1. I'm sure Elias was gritting his teeth when he had to make this call. Anyway, round 2 of the NFL draft is tonight which is a quandry for me. I'd rather watch the draft but Bradish throws a bit of a monkey wrench into the whole thing. I suppose I can have the draft on the TV and stream the game on my computer.
  2. If he's not in the lineup tonight...OH will reach meltdown status.
  3. Yeah, it doesn't smell right. Not at all. As @waroriolesaid, there's no reason he couldn't DH, getting at bats for him is paramount.
  4. Maybe you were back then, but I'm not so sure anymore.
  5. Lol, staying off pitches he doesn't think he can drive. If it were only that simple. Where's @Sports Guyto cook up a make believe trade? We gotta sell high!
  6. Get out of here with this reasonable take.
  7. Yes. Full of six guys not named Bradish and Rodriguez.
  8. Probably has had some of the worst rosters ever, so it makes sense. Paging in @DrungoHazewoodto explain to us how much difference a manager makes.
  9. I think it was Fangraphs last year who ran a piece on Cesar Valdez and his dead fish changeup. And then the wheels promptly fell off. Hoping it was a one year jinx.
  10. Of all the big nothingburgers we've had around here, this is a double patty with cheese and bacon on it, IMO.
  11. Yeah, but I'm afraid he can't hit. But I'd take really good defense at 3rd with no stick for this year at least.
  12. He's a pretty good defender. That is to say I think his defense is better than what any of us expected when we picked him up.
  13. Not the way I wanted to see this team come out after pulling out a great win last night.
  14. That’s absurd. This organization is terrible. Jones was nothing but great for this franchise.
  15. Maybe Adley gets promoted to Bowie by July.
  16. Slammed the door tonight against the heart of the Angels order. The Ohtani at bat was interesting, IMO. The first three pitches just weren't competitive. IIRC, no fastballs, all out of the zone and not particularly close. Then he bore down and attacked the zone for the strikeout.
  17. This is a good question. At what point is a demonstrably better selective eye/plate patience not a fluke? I dunno. If I heard Brown correctly, he's the only player in the majors to reach base in all 15 games. That's impressive.
  18. The Orioles are doing their part in dragging that average down, that's for sure.
  19. I think the humidor's gotta do something with it, absolutely. I'm wondering what these humidors are set to.
  20. He does walk a lot, that probably has something to do with it.
  21. Despite McKenna trying to single handedly lose this one....I think this has to be arguably the most impressive win of the year so far. Battled right back, the bullpen came up huge. This is one of those games that....MAYBE...maybe you point to as a turning point for this team as they're building to the future. I think the 2021 team would have folded like an old musty tent that had been sitting in the garage for a few years.
  22. Never would have guessed that Trout doesn't have a 3 homer game.
