Felix Bautista throwing 28 high effort pitches in .2 innings last year still haunts me. You can't throw that many pitches in one inning. Text book injury avoidance strategy. If Gunnar didn’t go on first contact, Mansolino didn’t put up stop signs, and we had 1 maybe 2 more hits with bases full of runners it could have been 25+ easy.

The most humiliating part was Mansolino giving stop signs at 3rd base. That made my day.

I’ve heard he’s an all around great guy. Stinks he plays on the Yankees, but have a soft spot for guys like him who bust their butt and do things the right way.

No surprise. He was awful. Still baffled folks wanted to try and hold on to him.

Thats fair and it could likely be the case. My first thought in the second was that he was tipping somehow. They were super confident in the box and I can’t remember ever seeing so many balls hit so hard. It was fun to watch.
