I characterize “winning” as having a winning culture and established high level of play. I don’t think we had that in the 2012-2016 run. I think even the most orange tinted glasses saw that was a very short window with nothing to come after. What we have now, and what the Ravens have established, is the ground work for continued winning and high level play. Above and beyond the on field accomplishments the organization is doing all the right things off the field and nurturing a relationship with the fans in a “winning” manner. Winning was never the focus in the past. Even the most ardent haters can see that winning is here for the foreseeable future on and off the field.

I saw him hit some moonshot in college. The power is in there but the swing wasn’t geared to do damage. I’m going to try and go see him play soon. It looks like he’s made some pretty significant swing adjustments.

Estrada had 2 more hits tonight one being HR #5. Noticed him getting hot so checked his game log and he was OPSing 1.074 in his last 14 games (61 PA) going into tonight. All 5 of his HR are in the last 15 games. That brought me to this thread to see where he was in the power rankings. He’s still 19 until January but listed as 5’8” 142!! Can that be right? I guess that is why he hasn’t garnered much attention.

Swing is much smoother than in college. The kid has some pop and some bat speed.

Im not gonna say he’s the poster child for command but it’s not that surprising. In 13 starts he has: 3 0BB starts 2 1BB starts 4 2BB starts 23% of his starts this year have had 0BB. Corbin Burnes has had 2 0BB starts.

Another 4ip 7k start. Gave up 2ER on 5H & 2BB 41/64 strikes for 64%
