My thoughts are that SI is a dim shade of what it once was and what it once was wasn't all that impressive in the first place. Also I don't see a quantity over quality deal like that getting it done.

The Dodgers just signed a guy to a 300M FA contract, the Rays traded for Pepiot and the Braves just traded for Sale.

It's going to be hard to acquire #1-3 pitcher if you aren't willing to sign expensive free agents or trade guys.

Even if they stay health neither Povich or McDermott is anything close to a lock to even have a six year MLB career.

That's almost as bad as complaining when International Free Agents choose to sign with large market clubs!

I think that when you consider who the owner is pressure from the fanbase is a non-factor.

I wouldn't be shocked to find the actual program is pretty close to identical and they are just feeding more information into it. I don't think he discarded what he did with the Astros and started fresh. I also think they still have some talented folks over there.

Why would they? Is it a personal animosity? Do they think somehow their website will be more popular if that crap on the O's? How does it make sense that they would have something against a random small to mid market team?

Do we think that Sig has created something since coming to Baltimore that is that much more advanced than what he created for the Astros?

I was just commenting on the comment from Sportsguy. I think he was understating what the Yankees had to offer.

If you have thirty dollars and I have a hundred but am only willing to spend twenty than it doesn't matter that I have more. Yes, theoretically the O's can't be outbid, we all understand that.

So that would be more or less than young lottery tickets?
