  1. Fangraphs have them with 6 guys at 50 FV. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/new-york-yankees-top-36-prospects-2024/
  2. I think we should all get a mulligan on O'Hearn. That's a once a season type story there. I'm pretty sure no one in the O's FO expected that level of performance.
  3. I thought the pitching would regress from 2022.
  4. So a guy that has had a full (6 years +) career in the NPB or KBO should be forced to enter the draft and what, make ML minimum for three years and wait six years before they can become a free agent? Are you trying to keep guys like Ohanti from playing MLB? Did Ichiro kick your dog? You not like Kim's defense in left? Koji hit on your mother? What an insane take. They are free agents. They've earned that status. The posting fee is so the NPB and KBO don't get completely gutted.
  5. And with an opt out and no chance at recouping a draft pick I don't see them getting a huge return.
  6. Eh If he goes off next season he opts out. It's not a bad signing for them, would have expected a mutual option year.
  7. What are you basing this off of? Or do you mean guys from Asia?
  8. I don't think Adley is going to end up accumulating the most career value but we should be looking at the first six seasons and I think he's neck and neck with the other three in that context.
  9. I'm not certain that Grayson and Bradish have the floor of a #2. I wouldn't say I think either are a lock to be a #1 or #2 pitcher going forward.
  10. Who has five years of control and a floor of a #2 pitcher? Is that even a thing?
  11. I meant they made a mint off the sale. No idea how much profit it was or would be generating if they had kept it.
  12. Guys? Odds are good the Dodgers will be just fine even if he gets injured. Honestly it all comes off as sour grapes. If our team was spending like this does this thread get made? Was anyone in Oriole land complaining back in the 90's when the O's had the highest payroll?
  13. Why do you think so? You don't think he'll bring in enough revenue to pay for his deal? You think the Guggenheim Partners are going to end up in a bad way because of this deal? There was what, three other teams willing to match the deal?
  14. They also get additional revenue. I don't think John minds the Dodgers paying into a fund he profits from.
  15. The only real issue I see on the horizon is the cable bubble popping. If the TV revenue takes a dive it could cause some short term distress for unprepared teams. We've already seen it with the Padres.
  16. I don't think anything is broken. Folks were complaining about how much money players were getting int he 1890's.
  17. Peter went from signing Davis to not making decisions pretty quickly. I don't think the Davis deal had any impact on him. 300 Million? No. Why would you need to?
  18. You have no evidence that the Davis contract is in any way responsible for how John is spending.
  19. Joe stayed in Minnesota. If Votto leaves Cini I don't blame Cini.
  20. Quick google shows only 52 of 100 of the largest US cities have shown population growth from 2010-2020.
