  1. Yea, but I start my day at irked and it's all downhill from there.
  2. He can not even throw a pitch in the process.
  3. But it makes sense to have stupid rules for a stupid stat.
  4. I have no issue with sac flies. I just don't think they should be wished for when a base hit is always preferable. Glad to see Trey get the run in.
  5. I would have gone Chevy. Voit for Volt.
  6. I just can't imagine a scenario in which Tergeon leads a team to a championship, or honestly even a final four appearance. I guess if what he's currently producing is considered good enough than here you go....have some more of it.
  7. I for one am feeling pretty confident he can keep that pace up.
  8. Have they tried behind the plate?
  9. Actually it's 13, they held the Blue Jays scoreless in the 9th back on September 27th. ?
  10. I don't see how you get maximum offense with Mullins in the lineup.
  11. I think I'd prefer Hays in right and Santander in left.
  12. A case can be made that in a game in which the number of balls put into play is at an all time low that defense has never been less important. I'm not sure I agree with that, given how valuable baserunners are when HR are so plentiful, but the case can be made.
  13. I don't think he is as physically capable as he was before his injury. Figuring things out only goes so far.
  14. While I don't disagree with anything you said I'd rather see Ruiz out there over Jones.
  15. That's All-Star Ty Wigginton to you.
  16. I'm a bit as well. But we never have complete information. Maybe Ruiz was told he might be playing second this year and made some changes in his offseason workout? The early returns are promising.
  17. So we shouldn't be surprised when Ruiz can just get dropped onto second base and play it competently but Mountcastle needs time game time reps at first so he won't be rusty? Oh and a bunch of games in left in the minors. I'm not saying it is the same posters saying both things, just an interesting difference.
  18. Looks like he was a 3B out of HS. https://www.crawfishboxes.com/2012/5/31/3053392/2012-mlb-draft-profile-rio-ruiz-3b
  19. If anything I'd be worried the parents are too into it.
  20. I think the undrafted bit is key. Most of the folks drafted after round 20 could just be signed as UFA.
  21. My original point was made with the assumption that Santander was calling him off. I've admitted that was an assumption on my part. I should not have made that assumption. With regards to Frobby...did you think I didn't already know the (general) answer to the question I'd asked? I've posted about the time tables for college catchers that were top five picks before. I wasn't "owned". I was on mobile at the time and didn't feel like pulling up the exact figure. Frobby is normally very nice about getting data like that. I should have repped him for the work tho. I've gone back and fixed that.
