  1. Isn’t that pretty much true for all positions? Baseball is cruel.
  2. This. I didn’t like having Baumann in there, but Hyde didn’t lose this game. Heck, several of Hyde’s late game moves helped put the Orioles in position to win the game. But I did hate having Baumann in the game in that situation.
  3. Kimbrel looked better today.
  4. Are you going to apologize for your rude comments? Maybe I missed your apologies? Your posts in this thread range from immature and borderline dumb, to obnoxious and outright gross. It’s disappointing that the thread wasn’t locked yesterday. I’m shocked that @Tony-OH or one of the moderators didn’t shut down this clown show. This devolved very quickly into the standard chest thumping idiotic crap that makes up so much of the internet. This is relatively rare for the OH and I hope the moderators shut threads like this sooner than later in the future, as they have done thousands of times in the past. The moderation is a big part of what has made the OH the best part of the internet for many of us for many years. Now I’m going to put you back on ignore and sulk about the orioles loss in the real world.

    Norfolk 2024

I think you accidentally posted the scores from your softball league.
  6. I actually do that a decent amount. I will sometimes use the video feed on the mlb tv app on my phone and use phone speakers or ear buds. Radio on the app was nicer because easier to have phone in pocket. Usually if the screen darkens in video mode the broadcast stops, so hard to stick phone in pocket. Handy while working in the yard, etc. first world problem for sure.
  7. Melanie is not good on the radio. The radio broadcast quality has been trending down for years and Melanie just adds to the problem. In years past I loved to listen to weekend games on the radio while piddling around the house. Not so much these days.
  8. I'm sure Elias will have realistic expectations, but I don't think Hayes is going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, I think all of them are likely to be with the Orioles for most or even the entire season. Again, I, like most posters, want more of the prospects on the team, but that's not how Elias is rolling. I think Kemp goes for Holliday sometime in May (if Holliday continues to hit great and is at least adequate on defense), but I can see Elias waiting for injuries and more sustained crappiness before he does much with the outfielders. I think Elias will be more far more patient than most of posters will like.
  9. You literally wrote that if you were the Orioles you would not think twice about cutting Hayes and Urias. Note your use of the word "or". That is a dumb statement. Very dumb.
  10. Cutting Urias and Hayes and even Mateo would be completely idiotic. Those players have value. You don't cut them, you trade them. You should stick to bowling.
  11. I think Elias hopes to operate this way forever. Young players hammering on the door to the show while the MLB team wins. Orioles fans haven't seen this kind of thing since the '70s or even '60s. It is very rare in the modern game. And probably isn't sustainable for the O's unless the international prospects really pan out. It is frustrating in some ways, but good lord what a talented organization.
  12. This is an exaggeration. Holliday is not repeating a level. Mayo is not repeating a level. Kjerstad has not played a full season at AAA (about half a season of AAA games). Norby has played in 152 AAA games, two games more than one full AAA season. Stowers has played in 190 AAA games. So Norby and Stowers are really the only ones that are repeating AAA and neither of them have played two seasons worth of games in AAA (150 games per season). I too strongly wish that most of these guys were on the MLB roster, especially Holliday, but Norby and Stowers are really the only repeaters and they are clearly the second tier prospects in that list. Again, I wish most if not all of these guys were on the roster, but it's inaccurate IMO to chalk up their early season success to repeating a level as that is clearly not the case for Holliday, Mayo, and Kjerstad, although Kjerstad's developmental path is a weird beast because of his health issue.
  13. Go Stowers, go!
  14. Oh ye of little faith.
  15. Only one walk. Bunch of losers.
  16. I’m pretty sure you knew I was teasing you, but either way this response is very amusing. Kudos for never breaking character.
  17. You do know that Gunnar was the 42nd pick in the 2019 draft right?
  18. The first game in Camden yards was more special. Big national media coverage, more impact on Baltimore and baseball overall, etc. just my two cents.
  19. Combined I think 150+. I think Means is fine and they are slow rolling Means to control his innings. I think the orioles will get some starts from Bradish.
  20. They didn’t have to spend a million bucks on this guy to do that.
