  1. Henderson to SS, Mateo benched, Westburg at third, Urias at second, O'hearn at first. Maybe?
  2. Good point but a long way to August. Perhaps Eduardo Rodriguez would be a better target. Or Cease but Cease’s year has definitely not been his last.
  3. We know the marlins, giants and twins have woeful first basemen. We know they all have pitching talent to complete a trade. I could see any of these three teams as teams that would receive an upgrade with Mounty as their first baseman. What we get in return is up in the air as it relies on what prospects we’d be willing to trade. I could see us giving up someone like an Ortiz, Westburg or Norby and getting a serviceable starter. Throw in Mateo and the team would be getting two starters plus a future option to get a starter. If you look at the trade for Verlander during his call up to the Astros in August, the deal looks extremely similar. I think a team on the cusp would more than willing make that trade to further their goal of making the playoffs. I still think we are gearing up to Kjerstead/Santander manning the first base spot with the flexibility of playing in right field. We like guys who can play multiple positions so it just depends on who the O’s like most to man second base, Ortiz/Westburg/Norby and which starter they like the most between what the twins, giants and Marlins can garner.
  4. I kinda want Nimmala so we can have Cano and Dhalsim on the team for a SF6 vs MK11 type battle for supremacy. Plus he's got such a lean body but still has tremendous power, plays SS very well, and seems like a really good kid with an impeccable work ethic.
  5. His legacy will always be making room for Colton Cowser and that will always have a special place in my heart.
  6. Perhaps he really has figured out to hit. Perhaps this is the real Mateo.
  7. He knows. If only the team could field 7 infielders. So the O’s just completed the best April start of any Oriole team ever and this guy wants to change what’s been working. It’s funny if it wasn’t so sad.
  8. Thank God you aren’t the manager.
  9. yes sir. but he dialed it up when needed. if he started, we win the game.
  10. Start him or just use him as bullpen depth?
  11. Cowser would soothe that loss. We can’t go a man down through this long road stretch. Rest hays.
  12. It would be nice to move Hays to the IL to heal and call up Cowser during this long stretch against two bottom tier teams. We will need all hands on deck and would be better off not going through this long stretch a man down.
  13. Really really cool! I second that this club is second to none in this regard. My dad was battling cancer and to lift his spirits I reached out to the club to see if Joe Angel could talk some baseball with him. A week later they gave us his cell phone number to call and after arranging a time my dad was able to talk with Joe for an hour about all things O’s. My dad made it through his cancer treatment and still talks about that call every once and awhile. The Golden Rule is a powerful way of life and the Orioles live it in the way they treat their fans. way to go looking out for your cousin and lifting his spirits sir. Proud of you and very proud of this organization’s response in times of great news.
  14. I completely agree. I think we rip the band aid off and either push Kremer to the bullpen or back to AAA and see what Hall can do as a starter when ready.
  15. Yes. Between Greyson, Bradish, Gibson and Wells, we are solid. Kremer has taken a step back but those 4 are good enough. I think we continue to stretch out Hall and between him , Means and Irvin we will be fine. It would be grand if we could get 7 innings once and awhile from our starters but that’s not really the nature of modern baseball anymore. Baumann’s place is in the bullpen.
  16. Voth needs to go back to AAA and we need to call up Vespi. Voth has looked this way since Spring Training and is far too prone to the long ball. It’s unfortunate but also expected as relievers have wild variance year to year. He was much better as a starter but we don’t have a need for that this year with better options available. Glad the Birds picked up Grayson and won the game tonight despite Voth’s poor performance.
  17. You mean the Dong Bong, right?
  18. We taught him to hit and now we are paying the price. Weird move by Elias especially now that Stowers has been sent to AAA. Stowers had options and so did Elias in this situation.
  19. Hey, I’m just a bird fan from Texas heading up to Baltimore next week for the first time since 2014. What should I do and see?
  20. Sure you can. Gunnar was at third. You can assume he’s out every time.
  21. Gunnar was upset. He knows he would have had him. Everyone in attendance that we interacted with noticed it too. This was a no hitter boys.
