GAME THREAD: Maryland - Duke ACC Quarterfinals

OFFNY

Recommended Posts

They are frustrating because they show they can compete and then find ways to lose. I hope this game turns out different than what I expect. I also hope that Mike Patrick can ease up on the Duke-fellatio.

Mike Patrick in clinging from kyle singlers jock strap shocker.

They pass the eye test eh. So what does that say about the job your boy Gary did coaching them up this year, to not even have them on the bubble in the worst ACC season in years.

Disagree anyway, this isn't one of the best 34 at large teams in the country.

Eh, it says more about how poor college bball is in general this year.

This team has a lot of flaws, I don't doubt that.

This game was pretty much a microcosm of the season. The Terps kept it close most of the game, would have been right there had they been able to hit a foul shot, and at the end the inability of the seniors to contribute in a meaningful way and the over-anxiousness of the freshmen allowed the game to get out of hand.

Absolutely! And Stoglin as good as his offense is....either can't or won't play defense. Going to be interesting with him and Howard next year....I still think Howard should run the offense most of the time...

NIT here we come...

Did you watch the game?

Outside of Williams, it seemed like Tucker and Gregory were the only ones who showed(other than Mosely defensively).

Yes, Bowie was a non factor but you can't put this one on the seniors.

Gregory has always been excluded from "the seniors"; he's done a fine job most of the year.

But it was never his team to lead. It was put in the hands of Bowie and Tucker, and they bounced it off their foot out of bounds.

Nolan Smith goes out with a bad toe with 6 minutes to play, and instead of taking advantage, Maryland plays terribly down the stretch. Very, very poor.

Please stop whining about the refs and how the Terps were disadvantaged. That was a well officiated game. Try making some free throws next time.

Other than the "well-officiated game" part (which even your fellow Dukie SG admits is false), you're right.

Oh so you make a blanket statement about the seniors but 1/3 of them don't count.....gotcha!

And Tucker played well...they lost because Duke is a far superior team...Hell they were really only in the game because of Tucker.
