But in reality, our scouts have unique insight into Gausman through Dunn, and Appel acted like a 12 year old after dropping 7 spots. There's no doubt in my mind that scouting departments get into every detail they can before making such a high profile pick. The donut fetish is simply one piece of "evidence" to consider when looking at physical abilities and makeup. I just doubt very seriously that the donut evidence was a knock at all.

Just because national publications can't differentiate talents on this level, doesn't mean our scouts cannot.

I agree with this, but I am also sure that there are instances where scouts have guys rated basically even. I will be surprised if this guy is eating donuts between innings in the minors much less the majors. If he isn't, you will know it is because the organization considered it a negative and not simply harmless.

Boy you are not kidding. After I read that quote he gave after being drafted its pretty obvious he has some serious make up issues. I'd rather have a donut eating king then some guy that is so spun up on himself that his gives a ridiculous statement after dropping to 8th overall.

Actually... powdered sugar donuts is a good idea! Like Cakes and his panckes every start... some carbs, some sugar (carbs) does a body good. Like legal greenies nowadays.
