First thing when I saw the winning bid of 25.7$M was :eektf:

Just me or does that seem rather insane? Thought he might get a posting fee of 10$M'ish or less and be thought of as a #5 or a reliever.

Then when i scrolled down on MLBTradeRumors the first thing I saw was 8:22pm: The Orioles... and I thought we won the bid. Heart skipped a beat... that would have been quite the gamble by DD.

Reports now are that the Dodgers offered the highest bid:

They are spending like drunken sailors. In addition to this they are "aggressively" pursuing both Greinke and Torii Hunter.

Hunter is what I don't understand. They have already spent ~60 million on Crawford, Kemp, Eithier, and Cuban defector Yasiel Puig. Now they want to spend 2/26 on a 5th outfielder? Yeesh.

I have read that they are shopping Eithier. For pennies on the dollar I am sure.

Bump

This will come as a surprise to no one that has seen the young man.

Bill Plunkett ‏

Yesterday LHP Hyun-jin Ryu talked about his diet and losing 8 lbs. Today? Lagged behind, struggled thru #Dodgers 1st conditioning run

Dylan Hernandez

As Ryu trailed his teammates on the run, he said to Korean reporters, "So fast."

Dylan Hernandez ‏

Ryu is way behind his teammates on the jog. Huffing and puffing.
