I always enjoy reading these box scores (never seem to catch these games, would love to sit down one lazy Saturday afternoon, be channel flipping and just happen to see a performance like this), but as time goes on and the game changes, I do wonder how many more of these high strikeout games can happen.

Yes, I read the thread about strikeouts on the rise, but pitch counts are also on the decrease and TJ surgeries on the increase, right? And with contract dollar values rising constantly, I just don't see us having that many more high K games in the future.

What do you think, will these games keep happening randomly or could be at the point where just getting to double digit strikeouts may be something eventually?
