Chris Tillman is no better today than he was when he entered the majors, right? Tillman has just slightly improved over the last couple of years is what you are arguing about Gausman. Also, Randy Johnson was pretty much the same exact pitcher his whole career, correct? Your argument would say that Johnson was a very minor improvement over the years according to your argument

The Big Lie. Say it loud enough, say it often enough and the masses will start to believe. Even yourself sometimes. We have no idea what kind of pitcher Kevin Gausman will evolve into. Nor do we know how Matt Harvey and Dylan Bundy will pitch post surgery. We don't, you don't. Math does not answer the questions of arm angles and deceptive motions.

Look at the graph. Deny it all you want. The lie is not reading and interpreting the graph.

The problem is with the interpretation of the graph. It represents the aggregate of all players in each category. It says nothing at all about any individual player. Using the data for all players to project the performance of a single player is a gross misuse of statistical data.

Looks like the Yankees get him tonight. That means, on normal rest, his next turn would come on Sunday against us.

Assuming they have a normal 5 man rotation and no other funny business.

Oh, it's a four game series! Yeah, I guess we probably do face him on Sunday.
