If it were following the Yankee script perfectly, Jeter would have hit a grand slam instead of getting a cheap R.B.I. on a groundout, and the Yankees would be in first place by 13 games, not the Orioles.

No even better they would clinch the division. It stinks but Jeter got a little lucky. Meh oh well. We can A) still win and B) know our long term future is better than the Yanks.

I agree, but our SHORT-TERM future is much better than that of the Yankees', also.
