I couldnt be happier with the way hes picthed tonight. One more? Id be thrilled.Much more compact with his delivery and mostly in or near the strike zone.Im hoping this is the re-invention again....but who really knows with this guy.

Yep. Get him through a few more outs. Take him out before he has to face Papi again.

That's what I meant, he slid past and lost contact. His hand came well off the bag.

I didn't see that but looked clean enough to me that he's not going to get called out more often than not. He didn't kick out his legs or grab at the fielder which have gotten the calls I have seen this year.

Machado made a similar slide in a game against the White Sox. The ruling was the same as tonight.

So instead of accusing him of poor baserunning maybe we should credit him for knowing exactly how close to the lone he can go on the rule without stepping over.
