That's what I meant, he slid past and lost contact. His hand came well off the bag.

I didn't see that but looked clean enough to me that he's not going to get called out more often than not. He didn't kick out his legs or grab at the fielder which have gotten the calls I have seen this year.

Yes, I thought the one against the White Sox should have been a triple play because he did the same thing as Bautista grabbing at the fielders leg. He didn't do that on this play.

So instead of accusing him of poor baserunning maybe we should credit him for knowing exactly how close to the lone he can go on the rule without stepping over.
