This Has Been The Least Enjoyable Stretch In A Long Time.

You can't even get excited when they get a lead because the pitching has been that bad. No matter the lead or inning, they are virtually guaranteed to surrender it. Shutdown innings? What is exactly is that? We almost never have them.

Our worst nightmare is happening today. If things couldn't get any worse, Bundy is getting shelled.

The starting rotation is who we thought they were. Bad.

The bullpen is doing what we'd thought they'd do if the rotation was awful (and Britton hurt): regress.

I'd say the pen has been worse than we could have reasonably expected even with Britton out.

Thank goodness one week out of a season isn't enough to draw firm conclusions about the rest of the year.  It can be a wonderful device for propping up existing narratives however.

I agree with the thread title, it's not been fun to watch the Orioles the last week or so.

They get  a lead, they blow it.  Starter or reliever, it doesn't matter.   The pitchers allow way too many free baserunners via walk, and let too many of them score. Some pitch calls are moronic.

The O's put together a six game winning streak, then gave away a 6-2 eighth inning lead to the gNats for a 7-6 loss.  They then lost four more one run games which were all winnable, before winning a 13 inning game in which they blew a 7-1 lead in regulation, then blew a three run lead in the 12th.  Today, they went back to losing a one run game in which they blew a 3-0 and 4-3 lead.

In the first five weeks of the season, the O's found ways to win one run games. In the last eight days, they've instead found ways to lose those games.  Sad.

You have a dominant bullpen, you get a bunch of one-run wins.

You have a lousy bullpen, you get a bunch of one-run losses.

Our pen hasn't been good but only the game we had a late lead was the Nats game and lost.

Starters are killing us.

Market correction. We weren't playing like a 22-10 team nor did we have the talent.

At 23-16 considering Britton, Tillman and Gausman still in good shape. Our record is the best thing going for us right now. It would be big to have a nice bounce back weekend. Should be big crowds.

Without question some of the worst pitching performances almost across the board I have ever seen in a stretch since the horrible years. Theres just  no reason for this team to pitch this badly with this kind of talent...over and over. Its demoralizing to watch.Tough on the position players to see this too...

Is Roger McDowell still the pitching coach?j/k.Is Wieters still calling lousy games? The bullpen should not just implode. Some talent but a bad regression lately.Good thing they are coming home.13-3.Have not been a good road team since Buck has been here
