The original buyers joining Peter Angelos in 1993 included the novelist Tom Clancy and tennis-star-turned-broadcaster Pam Shriver. The current group of 17 owners includes Peter Angelos; John Angelos; Louis Angelos; Clancy’s estate; his ex-wife, Wanda King; Shriver; filmmaker Barry Levinson, and philanthropist Harvey Meyerhoff, according to Major League Baseball’s website. After Clancy’s 1999 divorce, The Sun reported he’d split his 24% stake in the team evenly with King.

I had no idea that Tom Clancy owned 24% of the Orioles.  After seeing that and how many minority owners there are, it seems the Angelos stake can't be much over 51%.  If the Angelos family sells a portion of the O's where their share ends up less than 51%, how are decisions made?  Owner voting?  Seems likely MLB would not approve a sale by the Angelos' family that leaves them w/ less than 51% and no majority owner.

I've read over the years that the Angelos family has, in the past, purchased shares from some of the minority holders.

The name I remember selling was Steve Geppi.

Is there any thought that minority shares were being diluted such that the original % stake is lessened now?
