I imagine he means that he didn't have to win to keep his job. Next year he will have to. Saying that, I think it's an organizational decision based on analytics that it's the best coarse of action. I disagree.

What a moment for Stowers! Had to hear it on mlb radio on the way home from my daughter's practice. Got home just in time for B11. Still frustrated with this team but win or lose so happy for Stowers. THIS is why Gunnar needs to come up TOMORROW. These youngsters can provide an offensive spark.
