My BP plan is based on getting as many power arms in the BP as possible. The main metric I am using in K/9 with a look at a few other metrics.

I do not pick up Lyles option and spend the money in the BP so about $10 M to spend here.

Sign FA LHRP Tyler Rogers, 1yr/$8M; Age 31, Made 1/$7.3M in 2022 in Milwaukee. Fangraphs has him worth about $8M in 2022. 11.75 K/9, 2.52 BB/9, Ave FB velo= 94.3

Sign FA LHRP Matt Strahm, 1/$3M; Age 31, Made 1/$3M in 2022 in Boston. Worth= 2.5M, 10.48 K/9, 3.43 BB/9, Ave FB Velo = 94.2

Keep Bautista, Perez, Akin, Baker and Wells in the BP. That gives you 3 guys with success closing out games in the past with Rogers, Bautista and Wells. All of the hold over guys from last years BP are cheap at about $700K per year.  4 LH pitchers helps take advantage of Walltimore.

For $14.5M you have an experienced group of power pitchers who will strike guys out.
