MLB Network has blocked a hearty two full hours 6-8 for a show, so figure dinnertime things will be ratified, and some of the new CBA's stuff will manifest in meaningful ways.

Today with 6 more years forecast BTV median guesses Adley to produce 6/213 and get paid 6/67 for a +146.

A couple tidbits from the MLB Now segment:

-382/485 if you cherry pick and throw out the slow 15 game start.

-22nd in the counting stat Baserunning Runs MLB-wide.    If you plus him another 33% for the 40/120ths proration to 160 game scale, it lands his number about where Trea Turner was last year.

Cherry pick link from June 10 on - kinda neat how the 150 wRC+ and components match Alex Bregman's just about all the way across.

He would have had to be psychic.   Anyway, rather than dwelling on this issue, I’d rather dwell on the fact that Adley was good enough to finish second in the ROY voting despite missing the first

No surprise here, except that the third finalist was Steven Kwan over Jeremy Pena.  According to Fangraphs, this is the first time two rookies (Rutschman and Rodriguez) exceeded 5 fWAR in the same sea

Julio will win this and he'll win it by a lot.  Obviously I am biased but I believe AR should win it, his value was tremendous.  At the very least, it should be closer than it will be.

They should have had him on the roster and then moved over to the IL right away. Then they kept him down too long anyway. Good for Adley, screw the Orioles for trying to gain an extra year. If you want him pay him

That’s the better argument.  Of course, nobody knew then that the CBA would be changed in the way it was.  

I’m philosophical about the whole thing.   Adley deserved to be in the top 2.  He proved he’s going be be a great player and a difference maker for this team.  6 years of a great player is better than 7 years of a very good one.

O's have a chance to lengthen the relationship.
